OrePac Building Products, a Wilsonville, OR-based wholesale building material distributor, is currently occupying its new facility located at 2401 Philadelphia St., Ontario. The company relocated from nearby Chino to expand and consolidate its regional distribution center. Some 90-120 people will be employed at the site.
The transaction included a lease buyout that was negotiated with the former tenant, Kraftmaid Cabinetry, which is owned by Masco Corporation. The new OrePac distribution center is a concrete tilt-up building erected by Oltmans Construction Co. that features dock high loading, 8000 sf of office space and 24-foot interior warehouse clearance. There is also an on-site parking with an enclosed yard.
Ted Carpenter, principal of Newport Beach-based Carpenter & Associates, represented both OrePac and Oltmans Investment Company of Whittier, the property manager.
