McLane Foodservice Inc. will dispatch trucks six days a week delivering both food and non-food items to more than 1,000 restaurants. This new distribution center will serve Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell and Long John Silvers throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia.

Inside this large distribution center are four freezers/coolers amounting to more than 33,000 sf of cold storage. Each of these cooling systems is set specifically for the food it holds from produce, to poultry to ice cream plus a cold dock for loading and unloading delivery trucks without changing the temperature of the food. In order to keep the concrete floor from freezing and cracking, a seven-layer floor including a glycol system was installed to keep the floor at approximately 40 degrees.
