"SRN is quite pleased with the way the renovation progressed," Babs Harrison of the project's public relation's firm Sheila Donnelly & Associates tells GlobeSt.com. "The Inn closed in November and SRN used the six months to do a lot of behind-the-scenes work."
The goal was to bring the property up to standard in order to qualify as a Leading Small Hotel, and at the same time, to preserve the southern waterfront resort's charm. "There was a lot of effort made to maintain the classic ambiance of the hotel that was treasured by repeat guests," Harrison notes. While the exterior remains the same for the most part, upgrades were made to the five restaurants and the 13,000-sf of meeting space.
