The firm's New York office is currently located at 399 Park Ave., where it occupies roughly 75,000 sf on three floors, according to a Paul Hastings' spokeswoman. Its new offices will spread across 10 newly renovated floors, more than 200,000 sf, at the 75 E. 55th St. property.

"New York is a center for U.S. business and innovation," says Paul Hastings New York office chairman Barry Brooks. "Our Expansion to a larger location demonstrates the success of our presence in this market."

Founded in 1986 with seven attorneys, the firm now has 225 attorneys in New York, 100 of which came aboard in June 2000, when the firm bought out Battle Fowler, a major real estate practice based here. Paul Hastings has roughly 800 attorneys in nine offices, seven in the US, one in London and one in Tokyo.
