Group Seeks Economic Development Tips in Denver

MINNEAPOLIS-About 75 top officials, including mayors and school superintendents of Minneapolis and St. Paul, as well as top developers, focus on cooperation in a recent trip to the Mile High City.

MINNEAPOLIS-About 75 Twin Cities officials recently traveled to Denver to see how that city approaches its growth strategies, transit-oriented developments, workforce housing, sports stadiums, arts and entertainment support and bio-medical development. Aside from introducing the delegates to a variety of new ideas, programs and initiatives with an eye to adapting those to the Twin Cities, the trip was also meant to foster better relationships among the region’s leaders.

The delegates toured the city, met with their counterparts in Denver, and heard presentations on Denver’s approach to these key issues. Among the themes of the two-day trip are better cooperation among business and local units of government.
