Carlsbad Sees Burst of Leasing for $2M Total

CARLSBAD, CA-New transactions at a business park here may bode well for a market with one of the highest office vacancies in the county.

Carlsbad Executive Plaza on Palomar Airport Road has seen signings by five new tenants for a total of 20,487 sf and two renewals for an additional 6,182 sf during the first quarter. Lease signings at the four-building, 133,000-sf corporate office park include Ocean Systems Engineering Corp., 11,793 sf; POSCO Biotech, 3,159 sf; Net Computing for 2,464 sf; OmniViz,2,319 sf, and Shelly Lee Boyce for 752 sf.

Media Captioning renewed its lease for 3,120 sf and US Foods extended its 3,062 sf lease. Total consideration for the seven leases: more than $2 million.
