Manex Suing Redevelopment Authority for $10M

ALAMEDA, CA-The saga continues between Manex Studios and its former landlord, the Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority. Manex recently won a rental dispute filed by ARRA and is now pursuing $10 million in claims.

ALAMEDA, CA-Manex Studios Inc., a division of Manex Entertainment, will continue to fight former landlord, the Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Authority (ARRA), after winning a rent dispute between the company and ARRA.

In Alameda County Superior Court, this year, ARRA sought to evict Manex from its 125,000-sf, four-building property at the former Alameda Naval Air Station. In February, Manex’s litigation filed against it by ARRA concluded with a ruling in favor of Manex. In addition to the ruling, the Superior Court of the State of California awarded the Company a judgment against ARRA for an amount to include costs and attorneys’ fees.

Manex is now aggressively pursuing $10 million in claims against the City of Alameda, ARRA and certain city employees for capital improvements made by the Manex to ARRA controlled property and other lost business opportunities. This case is awaiting trial in Superior Court.
