Swerdlow has spent the past 12 years heading up CBRE's New York office. He previously served is a development officer with Hines Interests, also in New York. In his most recent position as president of the firm's Eastern Division, Swerdlow oversaw management of 46 offices and was responsible for $400 million in annual revenues.
"I am extremely excited by this opportunity as our platform of services is truly remarkable," said Swerdlow. "I intend to be very visible in the field, harnessing the vast resources of CB Richard Ellis for the benefit of our corporate clients." Swerdlow will remain based at the 560 Lexington Ave. office, where he first joined the firm in 1990 as managing director of the New York City operation.
In addition to serving on the board of governors for the Real Estate Board of New York and the Realty Foundation board of directors, Swerdlow is a member of the Business Council for Lincoln Center and chairman of the CB Richard Ellis 9/11 Disaster Relief Effort.
