The company is developing thin-film deposition technologies for creation of mask blank and optic coatings for emerging deep ultraviolet and extreme ultraviolet microlithography, and is pursuing several areas in medical diagnosis and therapy.

While the company spent more than $9.8 million to relocate its Troy business to the 5.3-acre facility on Giddings and East Taylor roads, a state economic growth tax credit,and assistance from the Oakland County Economic Development Corp. helped.

Osmic says it will bring 100 new jobs to the Auburn Hills area. The project is a coup for Oakland County's Automation Alley, which is trying to recruit high-tech and medical laboratory space into the area.
