City Approved Ballot Measure for 544-Acre El Corazon Site

OCEANSIDE, CA-The City Council Wednesday voted 4-1 to approve ballot language for an alternative version of the El Corazon Dedicated Parkland Initiative. The measure will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot.

OCEANSIDE, CA-One of two measures aimed at determining the fate of the El Corazon site has received approval of city officials.

The City Council Wednesday voted 4-1 to approve ballot language for an alternative version of the El Corazon Dedicated Parkland Initiative. The measure will appear on the Nov. 5 ballot.Under the measure, revenue from El Corazon development would go to parks on the property and parks throughout the city rather than be funneled into the city’s general fund.
