WESTMINSTER, MD-The TownMall of Westminster will get a new tenant as Reading, PA-based Boscov’s signs on to occupy the space vacated by Montgomery Wards. The department store will redevelop the 78,500-sf space into a 2-story, 180,000-sf shopping spot, and will join Sears and Belk as TownMall’s anchor stores. The cost of the renovation was undisclosed.

The New York-headquartered fund management company represents mall owner Cranberry Mall Properties, LLC, which purchased the 525,000-sf mall from Shopco Regional Malls in 2000 for $33.5 million. Located at 400 North Center Street at Routes 140 and 27, the shopping center was first known as Cranberry Mall.
