OBRA, the company responsible for the conversion of the property, leased the space from the United States Army and then subleased it to the companies. The subleases are for three years and then the ownership of the base will be transferred to OBRA.Jeff Starkovich and Mark Maguire of BT Commercial Real Estate represented both parties in the transaction.
Nearby, in Walnut Creek, David Bowie, an investor, purchased a 22,000-sf commercial building from Winship Properties. The building will be redeveloped as an automotive center and leased to Cole European. The value of the total sale and lease is estimated at $7 million. The 22,000-sf building is located on 1421 Lesnick Lane. Sean Cooley and Mike Zylstra of Cornish & Carey brokered the deal.
