110,000-SF Shopping Center Coming to Town

LORTON, VA-Prominent, SC-based shopping center owner and manager Edens & Avant has revealed its plans to build the Shoppes of Lorton Valley, a 110,000-sf shopping center, to be anchored by a 55,800-sf Giant Food grocery store. Initial construction work on the new Fairfax County retail center is set to begin this month, with completion of the Giant store scheduled to occur in the summer of 2003.

“Bringing customers back day after day for the things they want and need is what our shopping centers are designed to achieve,” company vice president of retail development Steve Boyle says. “With Giant Food, and a selection of retailers, we believe the Shoppes of Lorton Valley will be the area’s favorite place to shop,” he says.
