Chains Face Success, Failure in Market

DETROIT- Quizno's Subs plans 90 store openings in Michigan by 2005, already leasing 21 locations through Friedman Real Estate Group of Farmington Hills. Meanwhile, Brake Depot ordered to close seven repair facilities in the state.

DETROIT-A local restaurant chain plans to open 30 stores in Michigan this year,while a local brake repair chain’s outlets have been closed by Secretary of State Candice Miller. Quizno’s Subs has leased 21 locations through Friedman Real Estate Group of Farmington Hills, the fast-food chain’s brokerage representative in the metro Detroit area.

The number of locations currently open or scheduled to open soon include eight in Oakland County, five in Wayne County, four in Macomb, with additional locations in Livingston and Washtenaw counties.

Quizno’s future expansion plans target the opening of 90 restaurants throughout of Michigan by the year 2005.
