City officials are hosting a public meeting between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Tumwater Timberland Library. The city has held similar meetings for other major projects, including the Safeway store on Capitol Boulevard.
Home Depot, the country's third largest retailer, operates nearly 1,400 stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Aggressive expansion plans have an additional 40 stores scheduled to open by summer's end throughout the country.
In February, Home Depot had its largest one-day store roll out in the company's 23-year history opening 17 new stores in 12 states, 14 cities and adding over 3,000 new associates to the payroll.
