The building, located at 199 Bowery between Spring and Prince streets, is owned by private equity firm the Carlyle Group of Washington, D.C. It was designed by H. Thomas O'Hara Architect PLLC and developed by locally based urban residential company Metropolitan Housing Partners LLC. David Green and Matthew Gorman of exclusive leasing agent Insignia/ESG's Retail Group will market the space. "The building offers a unique and compelling opportunity for a variety of high-end retailers," says Green, adding that the location is a "thriving area with strong demographics and extraordinary access to transportation."
Available retail space in the $30-million building includes 12,902 sf on the ground floor and 6,284 sf on the lower level. The property also features an 80-foot exterior frontage for tenant advertising.
