More than $5 million in both cosmetic renovations and mechanical/heating and cooling systems have been recently completed. The 500,000-sf building can now offer up to 250,000 sf of space for a large user or space as small as 2,000 sf for smaller tenants, REDICO officials say.

Although REDICO did not reveal lease rates, average rent for class A office space is less than $24.90 per sf, according to Paragon Corporate Realty Services.

Southfield-based REDICO is also building the second office tower of the Oakland Towne Square development in the city. Scheduled for fall occupancy, Two Towne Square will be a nine story, 180,000-sf office tower connected to the existing 425,000-sf, 18-story One Towne Square and its full service retail concourse.
