The joint venture will build housing units ranging from 2,300 to 3,200-sf in a region that is out performing the nation and state. Folsom is a community of 41,000 people about 20 miles east of Sacramento.
Standard Pacific is extending its presence into the Sacramento market because Sacramento County's diverse economy and lower cost of living, along with its outstanding educational institutions and overall high quality of life, continue to attract people and businesses to the area.
"Sacramento County is a diverse economy that has continued to grow during the recent down turn and we are very excited about our initial entry into this dynamic market," says Stephen J. Scarborough, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Standard Pacific. "This factor along with the fact that land is still available at reasonable prices and home costs are moderate make it a perfect market for us. We are pleased to join with an outstanding company like Lucas & Mercier Development in building this new neighborhood."
Lucas & Mercier Development is a privately held company whose principals have been building homes and neighborhoods for more than 28 years.
