The company, a supplier to the semiconductor industry, signed a 12-year lease for the space where it will house 250 employees from the company's corporate offices and research and development labs currently located in Bedford, MAs and the manufacturing operations in the plant of its former parent company in Jaffrey, NH. Mykrolis will also relocate some manufacturing operations from its Yonezawa, Japan plant to this facility.
Mykrolis says the move represents "the final phase" of the company's separation from Millipore. Mykrolis CEO C. William Zadel says the consolidation of the company's facilities and its concentration of resources in this region is part of the company's focus on "achieving cost savings, productivity yields in manufacturing and enhanced team collaboration."
