AmNet is a subsidiary of American Residential Investment Trust Inc. AmNet funded $368.9 million in first-quarter home loans and expects to close $500 million for the full year, the company says in a prepared statement.

DiCarlo and Houghtlin will be responsible for new business in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North and South Carolina and Tennessee.

DiCarlo has been in the mortgage lending business for 28 years. He comes to AmNet from Washington Mutual where he was Southeast account manager for homeside lending. He previously held loan management positions at PNC Bank, North American/Dime and American Residential Mortgage/Chase Manhattan.
