NEW YORK CITY-The first hotel to open in Battery Park City is has officially reopened after being shuttered for more than eight months since the Sept. 11 attacks. The Embassy Suites Hotel New York City, which has been doing limited business for the past few weeks, is now 100% operational.

Built in 2000, the property features 463 two-room suites, a new American cuisine restaurant, Unity, a 20,000-sf health club, the United Artists Battery park Stadium 16 multiplex and a variety of eateries and retail stores totaling 180,000 sf. The complex also includes 15,000 sf of meeting space and a 15-story sunlit atrium.
