Pointe South Mountain Resort Adds $12.3M Oasis

PHOENIX-The renovation team's been working for 18 months. The final piece is an "Oasis" for the resort at the base of a desert preserve. The water project calls for an 83-foot tower, 10,000-sf wave pool and other perks.

PHOENIX-The 640-room Pointe South Mountain Resort at 7777 South Pointe Parkway at the base of the South Mountain desert preserve is adding a $12.3-million water attraction, the final component to an 18-month renovation.

The resort has been redoing the suites, restaurant and adding space as well as realigning the road. The water attraction, called the Oasis, will include an 83-foot tower, 10,000-sf wave pool, 950-foot by 12-foot river, 800-sf children’s area and a 30-person hot tub. A restaurant, gift shop and first-aid station are included in the plans for the Oasis. The amenity will be landscaped with palm trees, canterra fountains, decorative pavers, lawn chairs.
