The task force submitted two plans for the shopping center property, which is located at 2300 Monument Blvd., to the redevelopment agency. These plans included ideas for widening Buskirk Avenue and developing a mixed-use center, including retail, office and housing space.

Members of the task force expressed an interest in Sears as an anchor tenant, as the company has an existing lease at the old Ward's building and could bring a Great Indoors store to the complex.

The task force presented one primary plan and one secondary plan to the agency, and requested more time to develop a master plan. The Planning Commission began its review of the task force recommendations this week, and will continue reviewing the recommendations at further meetings.
