FRONT ROYAL, VA-Stamford, CT-based paper and packaging manufacturer MeadWestvaco is vacating its 276,000-sf Westab Consumer & Office Products Group facility in Warren County’s Kelley Industrial Park. The decision is a financial-based move and the company will close the building on its 35-acre site in August. The Warren County Economic Development Authority owns the park, which houses other tenants including Tartan Textiles and Walden Foods.

Westab made the facility at 167 Kelley Drive its home in early 2001 after Mead acquired assets of the debt-ridden Pen-Tab Industries. Pentab had been in the structure since its 1995 relocation from New York. It originally invested $12 million in the property, which has a build-out potential of 440,000-sf.
