The firm plans to move from its current digs at 4 Park Plaza in Irvine's Jamboree Center to a larger office at 2030 Main St. in Irvine. According to the terms of the 10-year lease, the lawyers will occupy 22,278 sf here. "It's more efficient space," says Royce Sharf of Julien J. Studley Inc. who brokered the deal. "The tenant took advantage of the soft market and put their arms around a long-term lease," he adds.

Sharf, along with Studley colleague Scott Granger, acted on behalf of Jackson, DeMarco & Peckenpaugh. The landlord, OTR, was represented by John Weiner of CB Richard Ellis.

As Sharf points out, "with the death of the new-economy tenants, old-economy tenants such as law firms have become extremely attractive to landlords."
