The West Greenwich, RI-based company, which handles the Texas lottery, occupies 90,000 sf in Austin for its lottery activities. A company contact said the only information being released is what was in the news release. GTech is moving software hubs from Boca Raton, FL, Olympia, WA and Phoenix to Austin. The center will serve Gtech operations in the US and Latin America. The company said most of the employees offered transfers to Austin have accepted. It did not say whether it would make additional hires in Austin.
