The company has inked a $1.8-million agreement to occupy a 50,160-sf industrial facility here. Lee Ah Sheng is slated to move into the new location, which stands at 1300 N. Jefferson St., on June 1. Approximately 35 employees will be based at the site, which will house the company's Southern California headquarters. The concrete tilt-up includes 3,200 sf of office space, dock high and ground level loading, a large fenced year and ample on-site parking.
Lee Ah Sheng was represented by Chris Migliori of the Anaheim office of Daum Commercial Real Estate Services. Migliori also acted on behalf of the property owner, Orange County-based Bedecon Investments.
More expansion leases may be on the horizon for the region's manufacturing sector, as a report released late last month by Chapman University says this sector has entered into recovery mode. The university's Composite Index, which is used to measure manufacturing activity in the county, jumped sharply from 35.6 in the fourth quarter of 2001 to 56.3 in the first quarter of 2002. These figures signal the end of a recession and the start of a recovery, as any value of more than 50 indicates growth for the sector.
