Like the other Homewood Suites franchises, this location offers all-suite residential style rooms. In addition, this particular location offers 2,500 sf of meeting space. "The need for upscale hotels that cater to guests staying consecutive nights in the Richmond area greatly exceeds the available supply," explains the hotels general manager Charles Friend.
Shamin's portfolio includes ten hotel properties in the state, as well as hotels in North Carolina and New Jersey. The developer is currently in the process of constructing a 96-room hotel, the Brandermill Holiday Inn, on a 3.6-acre plot in Chesterfield County. That hotel is scheduled to debut in the summer of 2003.
