Watt Plaza's two 23-story towers consist of close to 900,000 sf of Class A office space including a 36,000-sf retail plaza. It offers amenities such as a Starbucks Coffee, Kinko's, Federal Express, Trimana Restaurant, Washington Mutual Bank, Mail Boxes Etc., a dry cleaner, gift shop and an office supply store.
Watt Plaza is undergoing a significant makeover. The lobby areas have been redesigned with a dramatic central entrance, adding more natural light and creating less definition between the lobby and the outdoor plaza. The centerpiece will be a dramatic water sculpture. Culver City-based Wolcott Interior Planning and Design created the overall concept which also includes renovations of other common areas, restrooms, and the ground floor retail corridors.
Bird, Marella, Boxer & Wolpert has maintained its offices at Watt Plaza since 1992. Founded in 1981, the firm's litigation practice focuses on white collar criminal defense and civil litigation, including entertainment and other business disputes. The firm's team of 20 lawyers includes six former federal prosecutors.
Jeff Mintz of Travers Realty represented Bird, Marella, Boxer & Wolpert in the transaction. Ed Collins and Kathy McKay represented Watt Commercial Properties.
