Law Firm Inks 8-Year, $7M Renewal Lease

LOS ANGELES-Bird, Marella, Boxer & Wolpert remain in the 21,000-sf penthouse of Walt Plaza at 1875 Century Park East in the Century City section of Los Angeles. It has retained offices in this building since 1992.

LOS ANGELES-Bird, Marella, Boxer & Wolpert, a Los Angeles-based boutique litigation firm, has renewed its lease at Watt Plaza in Century City. The company signed an eight-year agreement valued at over $7 million with Watt Commercial properties for the penthouse of the 1875 Century Park East tower, totaling 21,000 sf.

Watt Plaza’s two 23-story towers consist of close to 900,000 sf of Class A office space including a 36,000-sf retail plaza. It offers amenities such as a Starbucks Coffee, Kinko’s, Federal Express, Trimana Restaurant, Washington Mutual Bank, Mail Boxes Etc., a dry cleaner, gift shop and an office supply store.

Watt Plaza is undergoing a significant makeover. The lobby areas have been redesigned with a dramatic central entrance, adding more natural light and creating less definition between the lobby and the outdoor plaza. The centerpiece will be a dramatic water sculpture. Culver City-based Wolcott Interior Planning and Design created the overall concept which also includes renovations of other common areas, restrooms, and the ground floor retail corridors.
