Pontius, a 17-year veteran of the firm, was previously the regional manager of the firm's Palo Alto office. He will now focus on expanding the operations of the office and industrial properties group.

Pontius started his Marcus & Millichap career as an agent, and still holds the record for the firm's largest industrial closing, the sale of Oyster Point Industrial Park and Marina in South San Francisco for $39 million. With his promotion, Pontius will be relocating to the firm's San Francisco office.
