New York City-based Trizec Properties Inc. owns the 535,000-sf office tower which opened last year.
David Canaday, regional vice president of Trizec in Atlanta, calls the lease "a perfect fit." He tells GlobeSt.com, "We wanted to add a fine dining amenity for our clients at Alliance Center and the people they do business with. The existing café fills our casual dining bill."
Canaday wouldn't disclose leasing terms. But the property reportedly commands among the highest rental rates in the city, estimated by area brokers at $26 per sf.
The restaurant will seat 225 and feature the TV chef's signature Creole cuisine with "a variety of ethnic influences," according to a printed statement from Emeril's Homebase, the New Orleans-based parent of Lagasse's growing empire.
