Paychex Acquisitions Total 355,000 SF

NEW YORK CITY-Payroll resource provider Paychex, which has offices at 1250 Broadway in Midtown, will consolidate four units under one roof in the Upstate community of Henrietta and relocate its datacenter staff to a newly acquired facility in nearby Webster.

NEW YORK CITY-Paychex, the payroll and human resources provider with offices in Midtown at 1250 Broadway, will consolidate 1000 of its 1800 Rochester-area employees under one roof. The company has signed a $15-million agreement to purchase a 220,000-sf property in Henrietta, NY and plans to spend $1 million to retrofit the entire mixed-use building as office space.

Bob Lucchese of Pyramid Brokerage and Bob Anderson of Trammel Crow brokered on behalf of building owner Corning Inc., while Angelo Nole and Michael Frame of CB Richard Ellis handled the transaction on behalf of Rochester-based Paychex. The deal is expected to close within 60 days and the firm has a tentative Nov. 1 date for the relocation to 1175 John St.

“Our market [in Rochester] right now is still strong,” Nole tells GlobeSt.com. “A tenant like Paychex brings a welcome presence to the area.”
