J.C. White Furniture Buys Georgia Pacific Asset

MIAMI-Searching for a scarce single-tenant building to expand its showroom, office and warehouse needs, Pompano Beach, FL-based J.C. White Office Furniture Co. found an 84,026-sf property owned by Atlanta-based Unisource Worldwide Inc. in Miramar Park of Commerce and snapped it up for $4.4 million or $52.36 per sf.

The price is below replacement cost, according to area construction industry estimators.

“Knowing that there were very few single-occupancy buildings for sale in the South Broward area, we put in our offer for the Miramar building immediately,” White vice president Mark Feltingoff says in a prepared statement.
