Known as RezRez, Resort Reservations is buying 800's call center, websites, URLs and Prestige Travel Systems, an 800-related company. The Tampa firm operates LowAirfare.com, CruiseBrokers.com, TourBrokers.com and several phone numbers such as 1-800-FLY-4LESS.
"This acquisition will allow both companies to continue to serve all of our customers with more substantial offerings," RezRez CEO Stan Sprenger says in a prepared statement.
RezRez has 20 destination-focused reservation websites for top hospitality locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. The company plans to launch another 35 destinations this year.
RezRez is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vancouver, BC-based Intrawest Corp., a New York Stock Exchange-traded company.
