Roedel Partners, LLC, headquartered in Wilton, NH, owns the newly constructed Hilton Garden Inn Poughkeepsie/Fishkill, under a franchise license agreement with Hilton Inns, Inc., the franchise subsidiary of Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp. Granite Lodging Group, LLC, Wilton, NH, has been awarded the hotel's management agreement.

Construction started on the project in August of last year and was completed in early June 2002. L. Joy Taylor, hotel general manager, estimated the cost of development at approximately $10 million. Sells Green Building Co. of Rentham, Mass. was the general contractor for the project.

The four-story Hilton Garden Inn Poughkeepsie/Fishkill features: a signature glass-walled pavilion housing the reception desk; a Pavilion Pantry with a selection of refrigerated, frozen and microwaveable packaged items, and sundries; a breakfast cafe; room service during dinner hours; a lounge area with a television and fireplace; one meeting room with 637 sf of flexible meeting space; a 24-hour, complimentary business center and an on-site guest laundry facility.

Guest room accommodations and features include a hospitality center with a microwave oven, coffee maker and mini refrigerator; a sitting area with an easy chair and ottoman; a hairdryer and an iron and ironing board.

Business-oriented features of the guest rooms include high-speed Internet access; a work desk with a pullout shelf for a portable computer; adjustable lighting; an ergonomic chair; electrical outlets at desk height and two telephones equipped with two lines, data ports and voice mail.

Recreational facilities consist of a fitness room, heated indoor swimming pool and whirlpool, all within a separate and distinctive glass-walled structure.

Hilton now owns and operates more than 140 Hilton Garden Inn hotels across North America, including facilities in Albany, NY and Danbury, CT. Currently, more than 225 Hilton Garden Inn properties are either open or under development in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, according to Hilton Corp. officials.
