These stores are the company's first outside airport terminals in Texas. It has several at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Love Field in Dallas and Corpus Christi International Airport.
Seattle's Best Coffee plans to open 16 shops in Austin and Waco by 2006. The area franchisee is RTG Business Enterprises, a partnership of Austin residents Robert Gleason and Rick Timmins.
Those plans put the Seattle-based coffee retailer into competition for Austin caffeine consumers with another company based in Seattle. Starbucks Inc. has 30 stores in the Austin area and one each in Temple and Waco.The first Austin Seattle's Best shop waqs put in Jefferson Station, a shopping center at 8701 W. Parmer Lane. Seattle's Best Coffee owns and operates 142 cafes and distributes coffee products to restaurants, major grocery store chains, foodservice, hotels, and airlines.
