Land Securities has won consent for three new buildings, designed by Allies & Morrison, with almost 750,000 sf of new office space together with 77,000 sf of retail and leisure space. Completion is scheduled for late 2005.

As part of the scheme new public open spaces will be created to improve access to the nearby Tate Modern art gallery. Land securities was originally planning to develop as much as one million sf on the site, but the proposals have been scaled down after consultation with the local authority.

Jones Lang LaSalle is the development adviser and letting agent, and Montagu Evans is the planning consultant.
