Situated on just under one acre of downtown land, the building will comprise the office component of Hughes Square, which wall also include 270 residential units, 25,000 sf of ground-floor retail and an eight-story parking facility.
Hughes Supply will occupy the majority of the new building, leaving 45,000 sf that will be available for lease by an outside tenant. CB Richard Ellis' Mike Phipps will market the space.
Hughes Supply has been headquartered in Orlando for more than 70 years. The company distributes more than 240,000 products to customers in the construction, public infrastructure and industrial markets. The firm has 435 branches and six distribution centers in 34 states.
Trammel Crow's Florida region is headquartered in Orlando. The company currently manages and leases more than 19 million sf of commercial real estate for more than 80 Florida building owners. In addition to its Orlando office, the firm has 452 Florida employees located in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa.
