195,000-SF Office Building Groundbreaking Kicks off Hughes Square

ORLANDO-Trammel Crow Co. has broken ground on a 195,440-sf office building that will be the centerpiece of the planned downtown development known as Hughes Square. Upon completion, scheduled for 2002, the five-story property will serve as the headquarters for Hughes Supply Inc.

Situated on just under one acre of downtown land, the building will comprise the office component of Hughes Square, which wall also include 270 residential units, 25,000 sf of ground-floor retail and an eight-story parking facility.

Hughes Supply will occupy the majority of the new building, leaving 45,000 sf that will be available for lease by an outside tenant. CB Richard Ellis’ Mike Phipps will market the space.
