In other deals reported by Colonial Realty, Opici Wine Distributors paid $815,000 for 210 Old Gate Lane in Milford, a 14,570-sf industrial/distribution building. Gorbach represented Opici Wine Distributors in the deal, while John Bergin of George J. Smith represented the seller in the transaction. The wine distribution firm, which also has facilities in New Jersey and Florida, relocated from approximately 10,000 sf of leased space at 26 Poland St. in Bridgeport.

Colonial Realty also announces that Centro Company has signed a lease for 7,200 sf of space at 265 Asylum Street in Bridgeport. The deal involves the relocation of Centro from other leased space in Bridgeport.

Finally, the brokerage firm says that it brokered the CMI lease of 12,000 sf of space in West Haven. Colonial's Gorbach was the sole broker in the Centro Company and CMI lease deals.

Gorbach says that market conditions for industrial/distribution space in New Haven and Fairfield counties are "steady."

"I think that activity in our market for our product type is good. However, there is a lack of good quality buildings at affordable prices and (rental) rates in the area," he adds.
