Mizner Park $5.5M Amphitheater Gets Underway

BOCA RATON-The Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park takes a step forward in the creation of its proposed $5.5 million Count De Hoernle Amphitheater with the selection of local contractor Kaufman Lynn Inc. to head up the project. The state-of-the-art structure is will host cultural and civic events and is designed to accommodate as many as 5,000 people.

Count de Hoernle will sport a 3,600-sf stage and 2,500 sf of stage wing areas, and is to replace the existing 13-year-old amphitheater, which was originally built as a temporary facility. Officials of the city Community Redevelopment Agency gave their approval to demolish the older amphitheater in February of this year.
