$20M Affordable Housing Project Underway

VALLEJO, CA-Two nonprofit groups and the City of Vallejo are building a 125-unit affordable housing transit village. The project is being built on a 5.86-acre parcel on Sereno Drive near Solano Avenue.

VALLEJO, CA-The City of Vallejo will hold a groundbreaking ceremony today for a 125-unit affordable housing transit village that is being built by two nonprofit groups in partnership with the City of Vallejo.

The nonprofit groups are the Citizens Housing Corporation of San Francisco and the Affordable Housing Affiliation of Benicia, and the housing transit village is called the Sereno Transit Village.

The project will rise on a 5.86-acre parcel on Sereno Drive between Broadway and Solano Avenue. It includes 125 affordable housing units for low-income families, community space and a bus transfer center. The $20 million project is slated for completion in April 2003.
