"We're looking at two or three spaces right now," Ritz spokesperson Vivian Deuschl tells GlobeSt.com. "We're looking to be able to accommodate the 140 employees we have in Atlanta; we anticipate a fair amount of them will move here. We're looking for a space comparable to the Atlanta building, something spacious and technologically adaptable." Marriott's headquarters sits at 10400 Fernwood Road in the city of Bethesda.

"Our support of Marriott over the years has gained us an outstanding corporate partner," Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend says in a statement on Ritz's move. "Their decision to expand is a testament to Maryland's reputation as not only a great place to do business, but also an outstanding place to live."
