Narroflex to Make $9M Facility Expansion

STUART, VA-Elastic product manufacturer Narroflex Inc has decided to make a $9 million expansion and renovation of its textile facility instead of relocating to North Carolina. The company was called Elastic Fabrics of America up until April, when it was acquired by the Canadian firm, Narroflex. The decision to stay in its Patrick County facility will save about 245 jobs.

“Patrick County has needed some good job news for a long time,” Virginia governor Mark R. Warner said in response to the news “Narroflex’s decision to remain in Virginia and expand will significantly offset a portion of the recent job losses in Patrick County and benefit the entire region. This expansion emphasizes that a skilled work force adds a tremendous amount of value in corporate decision-making”
