Stirling Wins Contract to Market New Hangar at Sanford Airport

ORLANDO-In an era where new office development is slow, hotel startups are scarce and prime land parcels are diminishing daily, Airport Builders Group Inc. believes it will be producing a niche product in the 51,588-sf, 34-hangar Golden Executive Aviation project at the Orlando/Sanford International Airport in Sanford, FL, 25 miles north of Downtown Orlando.

The locally based developer has selected Stirling International Realty Inc. of Heathrow, FL to market the venture which is expected to break ground no later than Aug. 1, be completed by year end and then sold to a third party.

Stirling owner Roger Soderstrom thinks the project is a slam dunk. “Golden Executive Aviation is the first new hangar facility to be built at Orlando/Sanford International Airport in several years and most hangar facilities (for private executive aircraft) in the Orlando area are (already) fully leased,” Soderstrom says in a prepared statement.
