Oregon Firm Acquires Two West Texas Vehicle Dealerships

ODESSA, TX-Lithia of Medford boosts its 2002 acquisitions to nine, adding Odessa and Midland, TX dealerships to the lineup. To date, the company has eight locations in Texas. The newest buys had combined 2001 sales of about $115 million.

ODESSA, TX-An Oregon-based company has acquired dealerships in Odessa and Midland, TX. That expands Lithia Motors Inc.’s Texas holdings to eight dealerships. The other retail sites are situated in San Angelo, Big Spring, Midland and Odessa.

Lithia’s new acquisitions are Broncho Chevrolet in Odessa and Sherman Chevrolet in Midland. They will be renamed Chevrolet of Odessa and Chevrolet of Midland. The stores had combined sales of about $115 million in 2001. The amount Lithia paid for the dealerships was not disclosed, but they brought Lithia’s acquisitions for the year to nine.
