The family-owned Charlie Squibb Realty business drew instant recognition from buyer prospects because the office was located in a houseboat on Lake Eustis for 35 years. The houseboat remains at the same location today as a local landmark at U.S. 441 North and State Road 19, 35 miles north of Downtown Orlando.
Charlie Squibb Realty, started by Clayton Squibb's surviving parents, Charlie and Gladys Squibb, was a pioneer in developing manufactured home communities with resident-owned homesites. Among the Squibb developments were Imperial Terrace, Lake Saunders Acres and Mobile Home Estates.
