Sara Lee Plans $35M, 400,000-sf Addition in Winston-Salem

ATLANTA-The Chicago-based consumer products firm plans to nearly triple the size of its branded apparel facility on the Oak Summit campus in Winston-Salem, NC. Charlotte-based Little & Associates will design the $35-million, two-building, 400,000-sf expansion.

ATLANTA-In a $35-million expansion, Chicago-based Sara Lee Corp. will add 400,000 sf to its existing 255,000-sf branded apparel facility at the Oak Summit development in Winston-Salem, NC. Charlotte-based Little & Associates, which designed the original facility, will design the addition and provide land planning and engineering services.

The expansion calls for a pair of 200,000-sf buildings on either side of the existing one. Construction is slated to begin late this summer. Completion is scheduled for fall 2003.
