The expansion calls for a pair of 200,000-sf buildings on either side of the existing one. Construction is slated to begin late this summer. Completion is scheduled for fall 2003.
Among the branded lines are Hanes, L'eggs, Playtex, and Champion sportswear. Other Sara Lee brands include Hillshire Farms, Jimmy Dean Sausages, Ball Park franks, and products sold under its namesake, Sara Lee Bakery.
The company has operations in 58 countries and markets its branded products in 180 countries. Annual average revenues are $20 billion.
